Process:
Cylinder Initial lathe→Initial static equilibrium→Shaft over current assembly welding→Fine lathe→Fine static equilibrium→Surface treatment→Packaging
1. Base roller
1)The material
We are using is a whole piece of tube casted by a professtional steel and aluminum casting plant.
While other supplier are using plate rolling as the material,and make it into a cylinder tube by welding. But such tubes will have internal stress after welding. Internal stress is released very slowly,which will make the cylinders out of shape very easily.
2)Base roller checking
We will check all the dimensions according to customer confirmed drawing, surface roughness,straightness,dynamic balance,cylindricity and so on. If there is any small problem on these information we will not use the roller for next step but to make a new one to make sure the quality.
If customer has the special request on the form and location tolerance like the Roundness, cylindricity, and straightness to be less than 0.2mm, we will add the process of cylindrical grinding or roll grinding after fine lathe. If customer has the special request on the hardness of surface we will add the heating treatment process.
2. Production process
You can find that during the production process we always put precision as the most important thing.
We lathe twice and we make the mechanical calibration twice.This is because precision will affect the printing result. For example, sometimes you find the inner diameter and the outer diameter are both correct according to the drawing but when you are using the cylinders on the flexo printing machine there is on problem of non- evenly distribution of the inks on the printing material. This is because of the concentricity. Our production technique can perfectly solve this problem and we will control the concentricity to be 0-15microns.
During the production process we will make sure the following points
A. We will do dynamic balance test twice on each cylinders to make sure every cylinder is qualified.
B.We work by elaborate processing to make sure the dimension accuracy and the surface roughness. And the roughness should be over Ra0.16 without air hole or groove. The wall thickness of the working surface should be even.
C. The cylinders should have enough stiffness to make sure the bending deflection is not over the allowable value under heavy pressure.
D. The surface of cylinder should obtain enough harness. Normally it can be over HRC50 with strong corrosion resistance.
3. Quality Control
We have the quality control system during the whole production from the very beginning to the end and our principle is to make sure each roller is qualified.
4.Packaging
We use plywood cases to protect the cylinders.
